InterCore, Inc. announces that DADS–the network-based Driver Alertness Detection System — is now available for purchase at Operating as a cloud-based service developed by InterCore’s wholly owned subsidiary, SRG International, DADS is a real-time monitoring and warning system that can assist in preventing accidents caused by driver drowsiness, lack of alertness, or distractions.

DADS uses sophisticated technology to assess three stages of alertness in drivers. The system captures important information from the users with a Bluetooth camera linked to a smartphone.  When the DADS service detects reduced driver alertness that would lead to unsafe vehicle operation, it alerts the driver using audible and visual signals, while sending appropriate notifications to third parties, such as dispatch centers, parents, or other designated recipients.

These alerts are generated up to two hours before a driver’s awareness is reduced to such a dangerous level that sleep could occur. DADS early warnings ensure ample time for proper action, thereby preventing accidents, protecting property and saving lives.

Upon activation, the DADS cloud service enables access from home computers and dispatch administration, while providing parental control, trip reporting, road and location assistance, and automatic updates.

In commercial and transportation environments, DADS becomes an invaluable management tool to increase the efficiency and productivity of any size fleet by providing data on drivers and their driving patterns.  Using the real-time data and additional profile and evaluation reports, DADS can assist in decreasing loss and delays while offering a strategic tool to meet performance targets and increase overall effectiveness and safety.
